- cooperation: You will need to people to do this activity. (Parent and student) You will need a wooden puzzle with about 20 pieces. Give the child half of the pieces and the adult takes the other half. Do hnot let the child look at the puzzle before they cooperate with you to put the puzzle together. If no wooden puzzle is available take a picture from a magazine and glue it onto a sheet of construction paper. Then cut the picture into pieces. Talk with the child about sharing as they take turns putting the puzzle together with you.

- taking personal responsibility: you might let the child make their own puzzle as described above and show them how important it is to take responsibility for being neat and doing your best.
- behavior: If the child has problems taking turns, sharing supplies, or working with others talk about their behavior during the activity. If there are no problems try to cause a situation in which the child may face some difficulties.
