- Have the principal come into the classroom and talk to the children about his job and all of the things that he has to do. Then take a field trip to his office and let him show the children around and what he does there.
- Role Play With The Class How You Should Show Respect. In my Special Needs classroom there is a three second rule, if I give them something and they don't say thank you in three seconds, I take it back.
- Answering someone in authority by saying, yes(mam/sir) or no (mam/sir).
- Looking someone in the eye when talking to them.
- Saying please and thank you.
The reason you need to teach these above things is due to class differences in the many cultures that are now found in our society. (Ruby Payne)
