Again have pictures of President, governor, and mayor. Make sure that students know the link between each and the level of government.
Simplify their duties.
First Grade Dictionary For Vocabulary
Using a graphic to explain the different levels of government. Draw a small circle and write the name of the town or school in this circle. Draw another circle around the first circle and write the name of the town in this circle. Continue with the next circle with the name of the county, then the next circle will contain the name of the state. The last circle will be contain the place of our federal government in Washington.
