1-2 Test

1. Locate North, south, east, and west on a map.
2. Find your street and two or three important places on a county map or a map that has been drawn of your town.
3. What is a natural resource? Answer: a natural resource comes from the earth. These resources are such things as water, clean air, land, etc
4. How would people use the resources of a forest? Answer: cutting down trees for paper and t make lumber for houses
5. What happens if all of the trees were cut down in a forest? Answer: the animals will have no where to live.
6. How is cutting down the trees in a forest different from a natural forest fire? Answer: The trees will not grow back if they are all cut down but if there is a natural forest fire, eventually the forest will return.
7. What does it mean if we say that natural resources are scarce? Answer: If they are not protected they will eventually be all used and they will be no more.
8. Do students all over the world have the same chance at clean water, a nice place to live and an education as you do? Answer: No
9. What does conservation mean? Answer: To conserve our natural resources means to protect them so that they do not get bad or run out.
