Beside knowing definitions use your county map or another map found on the internet as links are provided to allow the students to find the north, south, east and west of their county. Help the students to find the general location of their local community to the nearest road. Show them the difference between roads on a map. Allow the students to trace a road with their finger or lay a piece of laminating film over the map to let them trace a specific road with a dry erase marker.
