On the grade links below you will find informative Essential/Non-Essential Information for each Standard/Indicator for K - 8th grade Social Studies classes that are taught in South Carolina.
This site will continue to change and grow.
On each indicator page there is a link at the bottom of the page which may /may not provide you with Vocabulary, Streamline SC, Books pertaining to the topics, and Teacher Developed/external links which will help you to further develop the topics.(Some of these links are not active yet)

How To Copy From This Site using this format teachers can copy the information on each indicator page for lesson plans.

After the indicator, you will find a () which contains the initials that denotes the Social Studies theme(s) that should be considered when teaching this specific indicator. P = political, H = history, G = geography, and E = economics.
